I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also had them long enough that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.

Where did you purchase them?
Cettire had them on sale and I jumped on it right away!
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were shipped to me by the 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast which was a major plus
What’s the cost?
When I bought my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their full price is $513.91.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and $1,700 depending on grey goose shoes their design features.
Do they fit as expected?
I found them to fit true to size, at least for me.
Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
Are they comfortable?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since my feet get sweaty. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in fake leather. Also, they’re already broken-in so your feet just slide in.
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the shape stayed solid. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
These are the best sneakers I own. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the shine on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you buy again?
Absolutely! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re not cheap, so getting them with a promo is a better idea. They’re worth the investment, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I chose a loud pair, but a low-key version would also be smart.

How is the fit?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36. They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since my feet get sweaty. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Also, they’re already broken-in so your feet just adjust easily.
Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. No glitter has fallen off, and the structure feels strong.
Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
